Five Members of Family, Including Three Children, Found Dead in Greater Noida Home
Five members of a family, including a couple and their three children, were found dead at their home in Greater Noida's Rabupura area. Police have sealed the house and are investigating possible food poisoning, suicide and foul play.
As soon as the incident was reported, police rushed to the spot, and a forensic team was also deployed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The house has been sealed, and an investigation is underway. Initial suspicions suggest that the five family members may have died due to food poisoning. However, the exact cause of death will be established only after the post-mortem examinations.
According to preliminary information provided by the police, the family had eaten noodles at night before going to sleep. The following morning, there was no visible movement inside the house. When no one opened the door for a considerable period, neighbours became suspicious that something might be wrong.
When the neighbours opened the door, they found the entire family lying motionless on the bed. They attempted to wake the family members, but none of them responded. The neighbours subsequently informed the police, who arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident.
According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police in Greater Noida, the deceased have been identified as Mahesh, his wife Lalita and their three children. The forensic team collected samples from tea utensils, noodles and other food items found in the kitchen. These samples will be sent to a laboratory for examination to determine whether the food could have been responsible for the deaths.
Senior police officials have also reached the scene, and the police have conducted the necessary inquest proceedings. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations to establish the cause of death.
Police officials said that every possible angle was being investigated. The investigation is examining whether the deaths resulted from suicide or the consumption of contaminated or poisonous food. Police are also investigating whether any foul play was involved and whether someone deliberately harmed the family.
The incident has created an atmosphere of tension and fear among neighbours. While initial suspicion has centred on possible food poisoning after the family reportedly ate noodles the previous night, investigators are awaiting the forensic findings and post-mortem reports before drawing conclusions about the deaths of all five family members.
